Anthony Lash Jackson, a 39-year-old African American male, was fatally shot in the neck on September 20, 2020, in South Chicago. The incident occurred around 3:10 a.m. while Jackson was walking in the 7900 block of South South Chicago Avenue. A male suspect approached him and shot him in the neck, leaving him unresponsive. Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene. The Cook County medical examiner's office ruled his death a homicide.
