Patrick Patterson, a 58-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on January 1, 2021, in Chicago, Illinois. Patterson was driving his Volvo sedan in the Bronzeville neighborhood when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 3:15 a.m. in the 4700 block of South King Drive. Patterson was struck in the neck by gunfire, causing him to lose control of his vehicle and crash into a vacant lot.
