Stephon Marcus Beck, a 21-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on February 19, 2022, in the South Austin neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. when officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert and found Beck lying on the street in the 5400 block of West Walton Street with a gunshot wound to his head.
