In the Woodlawn neighborhood of Chicago, a life was cut short on March 25, 2026, when Michael Ricks, a 29-year-old Black male known to some as "Lil Mikey," was killed. The incident, which also left another man critically injured, unfolded from a dispute that escalated to gunfire.
