On October 17, 2019, a violent triple homicide occurred in Kansas City, Missouri, claiming the lives of three individuals, including 42-year-old Larona 'Rhonda' Jones. The Black female victim was at a residence near East 45th Street and South Benton Avenue when the incident took place. Larona, known to her friends and family as a caring woman who worked as a dialysis technician, was watching a football game at the home during the evening hours.
