Laresha Bowles, a 36-year-old African American woman, was tragically shot and killed in Dolton, Illinois, on April 18, 2021. The incident occurred around 2:10 a.m. in the 14200 block of Ellis Avenue. According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Laresha Bowles was shot in the back and was pronounced dead at Ingalls Memorial Hospital at approximately 3:05 a.m. An autopsy confirmed that she died from a gunshot wound to her back, and her death was ruled a homicide.
