Akeira Boston, a 16-year-old African American girl, was tragically shot to death on August 27, 2019, in Dolton, Illinois. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. outside the Moonlight Food Deli & Liquor store located at 1203 E. 142nd Street. Akeira was sitting in a vehicle when she was struck twice in the abdomen by gunfire. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, she was pronounced dead shortly after.
