Eva Casara, a 17-year-old African American female, tragically lost her life on December 25, 2013, in Dolton, Illinois. Eva, who was five and a half months pregnant at the time, was fatally shot in the head during an incident that unfolded as a robbery gone wrong. The young mother-to-be was not the intended target of the shooting, but rather a victim of unfortunate circumstances.
