In the pre-dawn quiet of April 9, 2022, in Decatur, Illinois, 32 year old Stonee O. Adams, a Black male, was found shot in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 100 block of South Dipper Lane.
Officers had rushed to the scene after a shots-fired call around 1:45 a.m. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
