Marvin T. Murphy, a 39-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on December 25, 2017, in Decatur, Illinois. On that fateful Christmas Day, Decatur Police responded to reports of shots fired at 1600 N. 32nd Street. Upon arrival, they found Marvin T. Murphy suffering from gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Decatur Memorial Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
