Juanita Barrett Knight Akins, a 28-year-old white female, was tragically killed on August 31, 1974, in Bibb County, Georgia. She and her husband of twenty days, Joseph Ronald Akins, were found dead in a secluded area of a new housing development. Both victims were shot at close range with a shotgun.
