Joseph V. Pala, a 39-year-old white male, was tragically murdered on March 2, 1988, in Douglas County, Georgia. Pala was employed as the retail manager at Wickes Lumber Company. On the night of his death, he was brutally attacked by Samuel David Crowe, a former employee of the same company. Crowe, who had no prior criminal record, committed the murder during a robbery.
