Thomas Lamar Vining, a 58-year-old White male from Douglas, Georgia, died on February 19, 2017, after a shooting in the Green Acres community off Ramblewood Road. Before dawn that Sunday, deputies were dispatched on what began as a criminal-trespass call, then learned on the way that Vining had been shot.
