In the winter of 1989, a sudden act of violence shattered the relative quiet of a Columbus, Georgia police station. On December 12th, Officer Clois W. Lamb, a 43-year-old man, was on duty inside the precinct when an individual entered and opened fire. The unexpected attack resulted in the death of Officer Lamb and left another officer wounded.
