In the quiet community of Muskogee, Oklahoma, a 62-year-old man named Larry Don Bell, also known as L.D. Bell, vanished on a late spring evening, leaving his family with unanswered questions. On June 14, 2020, Larry, a white male, was last seen at his residence at approximately 10:00 PM. He was reportedly driving his black 2010 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. At the time of his disappearance, he was described as being 6 feet tall and weighing around 230 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and cowboy boots. Larry's departure from his home that night marked the beginning of a prolonged and troubling mystery for his loved ones and the local community. The circumstances surrounding Larry Bell's disappearance are particularly concerning due to his known health conditions, which included dementia and a missing lung, making him vulnerable, especially in the heat. He reportedly left his home with the intention of looking at a motor located a short distance away, near US-69 and Smith Ferry Road. While it was not entirely unusual for Larry to be away from home for a day or two, he had always returned in the past. His truck had several distinguishing features, including a Cherokee Nation license plate with the number CW1341, a chrome bar in the bed, floodlights on the front bumper, and a missing rear passenger door handle. Despite these identifiable markers, neither Larry nor his vehicle has been located since he drove away that night. The investigation into Larry Bell's whereabouts has involved searches of various areas, including waterways like Eufaula Lake, given that his truck is also missing. His case has been documented by the Muskogee Police Department and is listed in the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs). Larry has several distinctive physical characteristics, including a large scar from his sternum to his stomach on the left side of his chest and multiple tattoos. These include a small dolphin on his right ankle and a sleeve tattoo on his right arm featuring an eagle, dolphins, a woman's face, and barbed wire. The case remains an active missing person investigation, a painful and unresolved situation for a family still awaiting answers and hoping for a breakthrough that will bring Larry home.
