Richard Lewis Cash, a 25-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on January 3, 1996, in Forest Park, Georgia. Richard, known as Ricky, was a dedicated patrolman with the Forest Park Police Department, having served for over three years. On the fateful day, Patrolman Cash conducted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle with two occupants. Noticing suspicious behavior from the passenger, he radioed for backup. Lieutenant Jim Scott, who was nearby, responded to assist.
