Eugene M. Holmes Jr., a 27-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on February 24, 2019, in Joliet, Illinois. Eugene was at his residence when he became the victim of a senseless act of gun violence. According to reports, the incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. when several individuals emerged from a vehicle and opened fire on his home.
