Jwuan Jones, an 18-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on April 4, 2021, in Joliet, Illinois. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. while Jones was riding as a passenger in a vehicle near Western Avenue and North Bluff Street. Shortly after the shooting, he was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. The Will County Coroner's Office confirmed that Jones died from a gunshot wound.
