Darrell Johnson, a 64-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on December 19, 2017, in Forest Park, Georgia. The incident occurred at an apartment complex located on Jonesboro Road. According to reports, the shooting happened shortly before 8:30 a.m. when Johnson answered a knock at his door. Upon opening the door, he was shot in the head by an unknown assailant. Despite being rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, Johnson succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
