Joseph Tim Whitehead Jr., a 36-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on March 23, 2006, in Macon, Georgia. He was a dedicated Deputy Sheriff with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, having served in law enforcement for 11 years. On the fateful day, Deputy Whitehead was part of a team executing a no-knock search warrant at a residence on Atherton Avenue as part of a narcotics investigation.
