On the evening of May 15, 2014, in Hazlehurst, Georgia, 64-year-old Mary L. Chambers, a Black female, was tragically killed in her own home. The residence, located on Harrison Nook, was abruptly besieged by gunfire at approximately 8:36 p.m., a violent intrusion that would claim two lives.
