On a cold December morning in 2014, a young man named D'Monte Brown, 25, was following his daily routine, a path that would tragically be his last. He was taking a familiar shortcut through a wooded area near a Home Depot on New Snapfinger Woods Drive at Wesley Chapel Road in DeKalb County, on his way to meet his boss for a ride to work. It was around 8 a.m. on Friday, December 12th, when his life was cut short by gunfire.
