On a Tuesday afternoon in DeKalb County, the body of 29-year-old Jarvis Jones was found at the end of a driveway outside a vacant home on Allgood Street. It was December 30, 2014, and what was supposed to be a normal day turned into the final one of his life. Neighbors in the area reported hearing several gunshots around 1:30 p.m., a grim soundtrack to the violence that had just unfolded. When police arrived, they discovered Jones had been shot to death.
