Franklin Jones Jr., a 32-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on August 2, 2015, at the Hyatt Place hotel in Lithonia, Georgia. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 3 a.m., when DeKalb County police responded to a report of a shooting at the hotel located near Stonecrest Mall.
