Eugene Brown Jr., a 23-year-old African American male, was found dead in the roadway on the 1900 block of Second Avenue in Augusta, Georgia, on September 10, 2016. According to Coroner Mark Bowen, Brown died after being shot at least once and was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:05 a.m. He lived on the 2300 block of Franklin Street in Augusta and was a father of three boys, with another child on the way.
