MarQuez Brown, a 23-year-old African American male, was found dead on March 5, 2017, in a townhouse in Hinesville, Georgia. Brown, along with 21-year-old Malika Jackson, was discovered by Hinesville Police after they received an anonymous tip about two bodies in a townhouse on Rebecca Street. Both Brown and Jackson were soldiers stationed at Fort Stewart. The deaths were immediately deemed suspicious, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called in to perform autopsies.
