John "Lil John" Cooksey Jr., a 12-year-old African American boy from Savannah, GA, tragically passed away on February 5, 2018, after being shot at Bonaventure Funeral Home on February 3, 2018. John was attending the funeral of Ricky Jerome Boyd when he was struck by gunfire. He was immediately transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries two days later.
