Crystal Dawn Vega, a 30-year-old woman from Rome, Georgia, tragically lost her life on June 15, 2018. Vega, a mother of five, was shot in the head during a domestic altercation at her apartment on West 13th Street. The incident was reported by an off-duty Floyd County police officer who was working a side job at Floyd County hospital.
