In the early morning hours of a Wednesday in Rome, Georgia, the life of 39-year-old Cassie Lashae Davis was tragically cut short in a shocking act of violence that unfolded in the drive-thru of a local Chick-fil-A. On April 5, 2023, as the breakfast rush was underway, Davis was in her vehicle when she was fatally shot. The incident, which initially appeared to be a car accident, was soon discovered to be a murder-suicide.
