On April 5, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Rome, Georgia, resulting in the death of 39-year-old Cassie Davis, a mother of seven. The event took place at the Chick-fil-A drive-thru on Shorter Avenue, where Davis was waiting for breakfast.
