Avery Birthrong, a 25-year-old woman from Lilburn, Georgia, was tragically killed on July 17, 2018. Avery, who was known for her love of crafts, photography, and music, was found dead behind a BP gas station on Hugh Howell Road in DeKalb County. The incident began in Gwinnett County, where Avery was shot while in a car with her boyfriend and another man. The driver, who was Avery's boyfriend, drove to the gas station to seek help after the shooting.
