On a spring afternoon in Atlanta, Georgia, a sense of ordinary commotion filled a MARTA train as it traveled along the Blue Line. Among the passengers was 37-year-old Zachariah Hunnicutt. As the train made its way from the Hamilton E. Holmes station towards the West Lake station on April 13, 2017, the routine commute was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Another man, later identified as 36-year-old Chauncey Lee Daniels, had boarded the train and, shortly after, began shooting.
