Zenon Jimenez Perez, a 56-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically killed in what initially appeared to be a single-car accident in DeKalb County, Georgia. On the night of July 14, 2019, officers responded to a call about a taxi that had crashed into a tree in front of the Sierra Hills apartment complex on Henderson Mill Road. Upon arrival, they discovered Perez behind the wheel, not suffering from injuries sustained in the crash, but from a fatal gunshot wound.
