On a summer afternoon in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 27, 2023, the life of 28-year-old Devon Boyd was tragically cut short by gun violence. At approximately 4:15 p.m., police responded to a 911 call from a west Atlanta apartment complex on Peyton Place. Arriving at the scene, officers discovered Mr. Boyd and another individual, 27-year-old Justine Mitchell, both having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Neither survived the attack and were pronounced dead at the location.
