In a tragic turn of events on June 19, 2023, 18-year-old Quentyn “Red” Burgess, a Black male, was shot and killed in Atlanta, Georgia. The incident occurred at the Villages at Carver apartments on Moury Avenue, where a gathering was being held to remember two other teenagers who had lost their lives to gun violence at the very same location one year earlier.
