On the evening of January 16, 2025, 19-year-old African American male Demetrius “Meechie” Martin was fatally shot in Atlanta, Georgia. The incident occurred around 9:40 p.m. in the 200 block of Richardson Street SW, situated in the city's Mechanicsville neighborhood.
