Deonte Rogers, a 26-year-old Atlanta resident, was tragically shot and killed on September 23, 2014, near the intersection of Piedmont and Auburn Avenues in downtown Atlanta. Witnesses reported seeing two men fleeing the scene, one of whom was armed. Rogers was shot at least twice and, despite being only a few blocks away from a hospital, succumbed to his injuries shortly after the incident.
