On March 31, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred in the parking lot of a grocery store located at 820 James Jackson Parkway NW in Atlanta, Georgia. The incident resulted in the death of 33-year-old Jamal Sherod Phillips and the injury of a 16-year-old female.
