Judy Tolane Wardrip, 29, was last seen on December 10, 1984, while working at her family’s business, the Bethany Motel, in Bethany, Missouri. Judy had returned that morning to start her shift, bringing her dog, a Lhasa Apso named Moppett, with her. When her sister Janet came back from Kansas City later that day, she discovered Judy missing. This was highly unusual as Judy was a responsible person who, along with her sister, managed the motel and would not have left it unattended for long.
