On October 8, 2014, the bodies of Anthony Chen, a 10-year-old boy, along with his parents, Jin Chen and Hai Yan Li, and his younger brother, Eddy, were discovered in their home on Western Avenue in Guilderland, New York. The family had been brutally murdered in what was described as a quadruple homicide, the first of its kind in New York's Capital District.
