In the winter of 2023, concern grew for a young girl from Missouri named Unique Nicole Locke. Four-year-old Unique was last seen in Raytown on December 22, 2023. At the time of her disappearance, authorities believed she might have been with her biological, non-custodial mother. It was thought that the two could have been traveling to California, a state where her mother had previously taken her.
