In the early morning hours of March 24, 2023, a 911 call led authorities to the discovery of a body on North Camp Creek Parkway in Atlanta, Georgia. The deceased was identified as 25-year-old Jaquavious Anderson. Anderson, who resided approximately eight miles from where he was found, had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. His death was consequently ruled a homicide.
The investigation into Anderson's death progressed over several months.
In July of the same year, law enforcement officials announced a significant development in the case with the arrest of a suspect. Eddie Bolton was taken into custody and subsequently charged with the murder of Jaquavious Anderson.
Following his arrest, it was revealed that the murder charge constituted a violation of Bolton's parole from a previous, unrelated case. As a result, he was returned to a state prison facility where he would await further legal proceedings related to the murder charge. Funeral services for Jaquavious Anderson were held on April 8, 2023, at the Willie A. Watkins Historic West End Chapel in Atlanta.
