In the late evening of July 24, 2019, in Augusta, Georgia, the lives of two young men were tragically cut short in an act of violence. Malik Harvey, a 19-year-old African American male, and his companion, 20-year-old Jahlil Brickhouse, were at the Glenwood Apartments on Lumpkin Road when gunfire erupted. Both men sustained fatal gunshot wounds and were rushed to Augusta University Medical Center, but their injuries proved too severe. They were both pronounced dead at approximately 11 p.m. that n ...
