In the late summer of 2023, the community of Midfield, Alabama, was shaken by the tragic death of 21-year-old Aaron Lamar Maxwell. A Black male, Maxwell was the victim of a fatal shooting on the evening of August 21st. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. in the 500 block of Violet Street, where he was reportedly assaulted and shot.
