On August 22, 2023, 21-year-old Aaron Maxwell was found deceased in a field in Midfield, Alabama. The Midfield Police Department responded to reports of a body in the 1400 block of Woodward Road, where they discovered Maxwell's body lying in tall grass. Earlier, around 11 p.m. on August 21, officers had received calls about shots fired near Rayfield Drive.
