On a cold December evening in Atlanta, the life of 33-year-old Kyria Baker, an African American woman, was tragically cut short. The incident occurred on December 6, 2019, at approximately 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of a strip mall on Cleveland Avenue. Atlanta Police officers responded to a call of a person shot and, upon their arrival, discovered Ms. Baker with a fatal gunshot wound to her head outside of an American Wings and Seafood restaurant.
