In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Augusta, Georgia, on January 12, 2020, the life of 20-year-old Traquan Dashawn Salley was tragically cut short. A night out at Club Vibe on Laney Walker Boulevard ended in violence when Salley was shot. Despite being wounded, he managed to drive himself to a local medical center, a final act of self-preservation that would ultimately be in vain. He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, leaving a community to grapple with another act of gun violence. ...
