On April 6, 2023, Marquez Bokknight, a 24-year-old resident of Augusta, Georgia, was fatally shot. The incident occurred on Kensington Drive South in Augusta.
Bokknight was shot several times and was transported to Augusta University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation into the homicide.
