On December 12, 2024, at approximately 1:40 a.m., authorities responded to a reported shooting at the Riverfront Apartments on Fairfield Avenue in Brookville, Indiana. Upon arrival, first responders discovered 32-year-old Ronald W. Pence with a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite immediate medical assistance, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
