In the early hours of a Friday morning in Macon, Georgia, violence shattered the quiet, leaving one man dead and another wounded. On May 22, 2020, 38-year-old Damond Cain Stevens was shot in the side outside an apartment complex near the intersection of Houston Avenue and Cynthia Avenue. The shooting, which occurred around 12:30 a.m., also resulted in injuries to 25-year-old Jacorey Holloway, who was expected to recover.
