Deborah Houston, a 59-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on October 19, 2020, in Atlanta, Georgia. Deborah was homeless and often sought refuge at the 24-hour Family Food Mart in southwest Atlanta to escape the cold. On the morning of her death, she was leaving the store when she was struck by bullets. Investigators believe that Deborah was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire of a shooting.
