In the summer of 2021, a burst of violence on a Macon, Georgia street claimed the life of 23-year-old Darius Deonta Grayer. The young man was discovered with a gunshot wound late on a Thursday night, July 29th, in the 1200 block of Fort Hill Street. He was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
Despite medical efforts, Grayer, a male, succumbed to his injuries a few days later on Sunday, August 1, 2021.
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office launched a homicide investigation into the fatal shooting.
